I write about female leadership and retail businesses.

Involvement in Horse Racing with this awesome article “How do you transform a 150-year-old industry? I sat down with Belinda Stronach, Chairman, CEO & President of 1/ST, owner of the prestigious Preakness Stakes, to discuss her leadership and vision.”

My career experience spans global business development, operation, supply chain, design, and product development within retail and manufacturing. I was formerly the Chief Executive Officer of Chargeurs*PCC Fashion Technologies, where I managed worldwide operations and business functions for the company, which worked with over 6000 leading fashion companies.

Before Chargeurs, I was the Chief Sourcing Officer and SVP of Global Business Development and Sourcing at Destination XL and have held executive positions with Rocawear and Redcats in addition to consulting with Gerson Lehrman Group. Earlier in my career, I co-founded a fashion design and production company where I served as Creative Director and worked with Elie Tahari, Calvin Klein, and Victoria’s Secret.

I was a fashion designer with my brand, which counted numerous Hollywood celebrities as customers. In 2020, I was named one of the Power 50 DealmakeHers and honored with The Women of Inspiration award.

As former CEO of Chargeurs*PCC Fashion Technologies, Angela Chan led and managed teams out of 38 locations in 26 countries worldwide. She successfully integrated and transformed Chargeurs Fashion Technologies and PCC to be the largest global interlining textile manufacturer. Angela also created and launched Lainiere Health & Wellness, Sustainable 360, Lainiere Performance, and Lainiere Home Sewing.

Before joining Chargeurs, she served as Chief Sourcing Officer and SVP of Global Business Development at Destination XL, an international multichannel men’s apparel retailer. At DXL, Angela built an end-to-end global sourcing and product development structure and launched a wholesale division selling to Walmart and Amazon. Her previous experience includes as the co-founder and advisor of multiple start-up companies.

Chan has extensive experience across acquisitions, integration, change management, digital optimization, global supply chain within retail, wholesale, and manufacturing.

Chan attended Pratt Institute, Harvard Business School Executive Education, and Northeastern University. She is a contributor to Forbes Women and Sourcing Journal and was honored with The Women of Inspiration award in 2020.
